Next Working Bee – Saturday 14th March 2026 at 9:00 am
Working bees are held each month (except January), mostly on the second Saturday of the month.
The working bee and committee meeting schedule for 2026 can be found here when it becomes available. Dates are also on the calendar.
The working bee on Saturday will focus on:
- Removing dead vegetation along the length of Lochiel Parkway
- General clean up trimming back vegetation over-lapping Parkway
This will enable clear direction and forward planning for new plantings.
In 2026 Lochiel Park has achieved an International Green Flag Award the seventh year straight and demonstrates the dedication of the local FoLP volunteers, who work to maintain this high standard working alongside CCC staff.
Working in the natural environment is good for your health, heart and soul. Come and join us and get involved in community participation and get to know your neighbours by beautifying Lochiel Park surrounds that provide and sustain habitat for our Native Wildlife. Many hands make light work.
We hope to see you there, even if you have only got a short time to spare. The
weather forecast for Saturday morning is sunny with a max temperature in the
afternoon of 29C. No rainfall forecast.
NB: There will be morning tea after the Working Bee in LPCG
